Apprenticeship Wish List

HIGH DEMAND FOR FUTURE NEEDS

The U.S. government is investing heavily in Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAP) across several critical industries to fill talent gaps and support long‑term national growth. Although CAM Pathways will attempt to place a registered apprentice with all qualifying participants, we specifically seek to design programs that prepare apprentices for these fields so they can step into careers that are both stable and future‑focused.

Highlighted sectors

  • Shipbuilding and Defense Industrial Base – Skilled trades and advanced manufacturing roles that support national defense and maritime infrastructure.

  • Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor, and Nuclear Energy Infrastructure – Technical and support roles powering AI systems, chip fabrication, and next‑generation clean and nuclear energy projects.

  • Information Technology – Roles in software support, cybersecurity, systems administration, and digital services that every modern organization depends on.

  • Healthcare – Clinical support, allied health, and healthcare administration roles are needed as demand for care continues to grow.

  • Transportation – Jobs that keep goods and people moving, including logistics, maintenance, advanced vehicle systems, and related infrastructure.

  • Telecommunications – Network infrastructure, fiber and wireless deployment, and telecom support roles that expand high‑speed connectivity.

  • Project Management – Organizing people, resources, timelines, and budgets so complex work gets delivered on time and on target across industries like IT, healthcare, construction, and government.

  • Instructional Design and Learning Development – Designing training, e‑learning, and performance support for employees in sectors such as healthcare, technology, manufacturing, and government, using adult‑learning and digital‑content tools.

Our Goal

Our objective is to help prepare our apprentices for the next generation of workers and leaders. CAM will do everything we can to build a special program for all qualified students. We will do our best. That being said, there is a special emphasis for CAM Pathways to build Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) that plug directly into each of these federally prioritized sectors, so our apprentices are training for roles where demand and funding are strongest. By combining project‑management‑centered training with sector‑specific partners, we help students transition from high school into apprenticeships aligned with national workforce strategies and real-world employer needs. This does not mean you have to pick one of these fields; it only means the US Government is asking you to consider them because there is going to be a signficant need for them.
